Thank you, Mr. Chair. We appreciate the efforts of the facilitator to ensure a transparent and smooth negotiation process on this resolution.
We appreciated the opportunity to participate in the high-level meeting to address post-pandemic recovery of learning loss — the Transforming Education Summit — and we were proud to have our Secretary of Education attend. The U.S. is heavily focused on funding educational programs both domestically and abroad to address these crucial issues.
We strongly support the education goals of the resolution. As educational matters in the United States are primarily determined at the state and local levels, we understand that when resolutions call on countries to strengthen various aspects of education, this is done in terms consistent with our respective federal, state, and local authorities.
