Thank you, Chair.
While the United States supports the goals of this resolution, we would like to express our concerns that the group was unable to reach consensus on two points: first, several requested revisions that would correct mischaracterizations of the obligations under the UN Convention against Corruption; and second, revisions that would align the resolution text with the commitments made in the political declaration adopted at the special session of the General Assembly against corruption from June 2-4 in 2021.
