On behalf of the United States, I would like to extend our thanks to the facilitators for their successful shepherding of this resolution on human resources development. The United States appreciated the opportunity to participate in these important discussions over the past weeks.
The United States joins consensus on the human resources development resolution with the express understanding that when this resolution acknowledges the importance of taking measures with respect to various aspects of education, it does so in terms that are mindful of and consistent with the governance framework for education in the United States and our respective federal, state, and local authorities.
We also refer you to our general statement delivered earlier this afternoon for our position on technology transfer.
