TSA to host hiring event for jobs at Burlington International Airport

Burlington, Vt. - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is holding a one-day recruitment event on Wednesday, July 24, to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a TSA officer at Burlington International Airport (BTV).

The session is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 24, at the Vermont Labor Department located at 63 Pearl St., Burlington, VT, 05401.

Starting pay is $17.55 per hour with federal benefits.

During the hiring event, TSA officials will discuss the duties of a TSA officer and the application process. They will also provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans for full- and part-time employees and 401k coverage.

Candidates must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent security experience, and be a U.S. citizen or national. Applicants are required to have two valid forms of state or federal identification.
