U.S. Marshals Service Warns Public of Threatening Phone Scam

Scranton, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Shaquan Jamal Longchallon, 22 years old, of Tobyhanna.

On April 9, 2019, Stroud Area Regional Police responded to a reported robbery involving firearms on West Main Street in Stroud Township. Police found that the victim had been robbed of money and electronics by three armed individuals. The investigation later identified Shaquan Longchallon as one of the suspects and in May 2019, a warrant was issued charging him with robbery and other lesser related offenses. The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was requested to assist in apprehending her.

This morning, members of the NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force arrested Longchallon at a residence in Far Rockaway, NY. Longchallon will be held at Queens Central Booking while awaiting hearings related to extradition to Pennsylvania.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “Bringing justice to the victims of gun crimes is among the most important duties we have and we will pursue the perpetrators to wherever they flee."

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies who work with the USMS every day.
