Named after an 1800's naturalist, William Cooper, the Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii) can have a wingspan of up to 36", a little smaller than other common hawks. It feeds mostly on birds, but also feeds on other creatures such as rabbits, squirrels, bats, rats and mice.
