There were 18 notices published by the Environmental Protection Agency in week ending Dec. 3, according to the Federal Register.

The most recent notice, Availability of the IRIS Assessment Plan and Protocol for Assessing Cancer Risk From Inhalation Exposure to Cobalt and Cobalt Compounds; Public Science Meeting Postponement, was submitted on December 2, 2022.

The Environmental Protection Agency published 20 the week before, marking a 10 percent decrease.

More than half of the Agency's employees are engineers, scientists and protection specialists. The Climate Reality Project, a global climate activist organization, accused Agency leadership in the last five years of undermining its main mission.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
