Yesterday, Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves met with Cabinet Secretary of Investments, Trade and Industry Moses Kuria of Kenya at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. The Deputy Secretary and Cabinet Secretary Kuria discussed the longstanding partnership between the United States and Kenya and opportunities to deepen commercial ties and investment, as well as Kenya’s efforts to improve its business environment. The Deputy Secretary reaffirmed the Commerce Department’s strong interest in helping grow U.S. business activity in key sectors in Kenya and exploring opportunities to establish new commercial partnerships, including a visit to Africa by the Secretary in 2023.
