WASHINGTON, D.C. - Longtime congressional staffer David Pomerantz will be the new Democratic Staff Director of the House Appropriations Committee.
Pomerantz has served on the Appropriations Committee staff since 2001 and he is currently the Director of the Surveys and Investigations staff. He has worked for the House of Representatives since 1983 and among other positions was the Deputy Staff Director for the House Rules Committee.
Lesley Turner will be the Deputy Staff Director for the Minority. Turner joined the Committee in 2004.
Beverly Pheto, current Committee Staff Director, has agreed to remain on the Committee staff to assist the transition in critical areas.
