Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met with Diplomatic Advisor to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ambassador Francesco Talò, today in Washington. They discussed shared efforts to aid Ukraine’s self-defense and confront the Kremlin’s unconscionable aggression, as well as coordination to strengthen our supply chain resiliency and promote investment in clean energy. The Deputy Secretary underscored the enduring importance of the U.S.-Italy partnership and our common interest in defending the global rules-based order.
