This trail crosses both Squaw and Lost canyons on its way to Salt Creek Canyon, passing along high slickrock benches with spectacular views. NOTE: A new place name to replace the derogatory term "Sq---" is under consideration.

Difficulty: Strenuous

Hike Description: Steep slopes and nearby cliff edges make this a challenging route. Two ladders must be climbed. View prehistoric rock markings at the end of the trail near Peekaboo camp.

Bring: Water (at least 1 L per person, per hour), snacks, sturdy footwear, headlamp, map, and be prepared for, sun, rain, heat, or cold.

Accessibility: This trail can be rough, uneven, and requires climbing two ladders. It is not accessible to wheelchairs. In winter, there may be snow or icy conditions; we recommend traction devices for hikers.
