Public press releases: U.S. Department of Agriculture publishes three in January

There were three press releases published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in January.

The most recent press release, "Biden-Harris Administration Invests $2.7 Billion to Improve and Expand Rural Electric Infrastructure," was submitted on Jan. 30.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture published four press releases the month before, marking a 25 percent decrease for the current month.

The Department is primarily focused on food nutrition, with assistance programs making up 80 percent of its budget. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department implements too many regulations and restrictions and impedes the economy.

The USDA's budget for 2021 sat at $146 billion, with programming costing $119 billion.
