Sells Man Sentenced to Over 12 Years for Aggravated Sexual Abuse

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Emmett Miguel, 33, of Sells, Arizona, was sentenced on Monday by United States District Judge Susan M. Brnovich to 151 months in prison for Aggravated Sexual Abuse and a concurrent 120 months’ confinement for Abusive Sexual Contact. On Sept. 22, 2022, Miguel was found guilty by a jury of sexually assaulting the 17-year-old victim at a dance in Sacaton, Arizona, in January 2012.

The Gila River Police Department conducted the investigation in this case. Assistant United States Attorneys Raynette Logan and Alanna Kennedy, District of Arizona, Phoenix, handled the prosecution.
