Sit quietly for a moment and listen. You may hear birds singing and moving about in the reeds, or the subtle splash of a turtle sliding into the pond. Perhaps you will hear the cardinal's liquid whistle, the raucous descending call of the sora, or the sharp, double "tsuk" of the secretive marsh wren.
