Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the United States and its allies are more united than ever in their support for Ukraine during a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The meeting was held at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, Germany, according to a State Department release.

“Excellent panel discussion today with @DmytroKuleba and @ABaerbock. The United States and our allies and partners are more united than ever in our support for Ukraine. We appreciate Germany's leadership in supporting Ukraine with security, economic and humanitarian assistance,” Blinken said in a post on Twitter.

Baerbock said if the German parliament hadn’t decided Feb. 27 to support Ukraine and other allies Feb. 24, there wouldn’t be 13 million Ukrainian refugees, including 1 million in Germany, the release reported.

“The total population of Ukraine is 42 million people. If we wouldn’t have supported Ukraine since Feb. 27, then we would have seen Bucha, Mariupol, everywhere in the whole country,” Baerbock said, according to the release.

Baerbock referred to the massacres and battles for occupation in Ukraine as reported by Babel, a Russian news outlet.

Blinken said Putin has approximately 200,000 casualties in Ukraine in less than a year. More than 1 million Russians have left their country since they don’t want to be part of this war. More than 1,000 companies from allied countries no longer do business in Russia because the cost to their reputations is too high, he said, according to the release.

It’s fundamentally against the interests of all countries to have a result that vindicates the seizure by force of territory, Blinken said, the release reported.

“Because if we do that, we will open a Pandora's box around the world, and every would-be aggressor will conclude that: If Russia got away with it, we can get away with it,” he said, according to the release.
