U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves joined U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Mark Gitenstein in a meeting with Bjoern Seibert, Chief of Staff to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, in Brussels on February 28. Deputy Secretary Graves expressed gratitude for the close cooperation with the European Union on sanctions and export controls given Russia’s continued, unprovoked war in Ukraine. Deputy Secretary Graves discussed the importance of continued coordination on all aspects of export controls and our strong partnership with the European Union.
