Congratulations to Nicole Chavez, Rangeland Management Specialist with Team 9 in T or C, NM. Nicole has been selected as the NMEOM for March 2023.
Nicole Chavez represented Team 9 at the New Mexico State University's Natural Resource Career Fair on Friday, January 20, 2023. The event was attended by students studying a variety of natural resources majors. Nicole provided information to students interested in careers with NRCS and explained the differences between the biologist and rangeland management specialist positions. She demonstrated great poise, confidence, professionalism, and passion for her chosen career with NRCS.
As a result of Nicole’s efforts, the Natural Resources Conservation Service was promoted as a great place to work for those interested in natural resources. As a graduate of NMSU, Nicole was able to positively connect with students, point out the required courses necessary for different disciplines with NRCS, and promote the Pathways Program.
