The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Southern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will host a meeting on March 29, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend and comment at the meeting. Both in-person and virtual participation options will be available.
The meeting will take place at the BLM Las Cruces District Office, 1800 Marquess Street, Las Cruces, N.M. 88005.

Meeting agenda items include member training; nomination of a RAC Chair and Vice Chair; updates from the BLM Socorro Field Office and the Pecos and Las Cruces District Offices; and review of U.S. Forest Service Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act fee proposals.
Beginning at 3 p.m., there will be a 30-minute public comment period for interested members of the public who wish to address the Southern New Mexico RAC. Depending on the number of people wishing to comment, time for individual oral comments may be limited.
RACs are critical in assisting BLM with public land management decisions and continuing to serve local communities. The 12-member Southern New Mexico RAC provides advice and recommendations to BLM on resource and land management issues within BLM Socorro Field Office and Pecos and Las Cruces District Offices. RAC members are citizens who represent varied public land interests.
