APHIS Adds Serbia to the List of Regions Affected by African Swine Fever

The following Federal Register Notice was published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service on Dec. 30, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) added Serbia to the list of regions affected by African swine fever (ASF). On Aug. 13, 2019, Serbian veterinary authorities reported an ASF occurrence to the World Organization of Animal Health (OIE). In response to that report, APHIS added Serbia to the list of regions affected with ASF on Aug. 14, 2019. Pork and pork products, including casings, are now subject to import restrictions.
