"Full accountability for atrocities committed against Ukraine and call for continued efforts to establish a tribunal for the prosecution of the crime of aggression against Ukraine will be made," said U.S. Department of Justice. Additionally, they praised the role of the International Criminal Court, Ukrainian courts, and other courts in accountability efforts while condemning Russian attempts to undermine their work.
Both nations are addressing security threats caused by the Russian invasion, particularly working with Ukraine to combat trafficking of firearms, small arms, human beings, assisting with justice reform, rule of law, anti-corruption efforts. The United States and EU agreed on deepening cooperation supporting Republic of Moldova focusing on rule of law and justice reforms along with terrorism and violent extremism related issues.
