WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) and John Boozman (R-Ark.) have announced that the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry will hold a hearing to consider the nominations of Dr. Basil Ivanhoe Gooden and the Honorable Summer K. Mersinger.
Dr. Basil Ivanhoe Gooden has been nominated to be the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development, while the Honorable Summer K. Mersinger has been nominated to be a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM ET in the 328A Russel Senate Office Building.
