Foxx Offers New Resource to Report Antisemitism on Campus

Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) has announced the establishment of a Committee-run email dedicated to reporting cases of antisemitism on college campuses. The email address, Report.antisemitism@mail.house.gov, is open to college students, faculty, and concerned community members who wish to share incidents of antisemitism.

Chairwoman Foxx explained that the creation of this centralized reporting system is in response to the numerous messages received by the Committee from individuals across the country following a recent hearing with the presidents of Harvard, UPenn, and MIT. The hearing, titled "Holding Campus Leaders Accountable and Confronting Antisemitism," revealed alarming testimony from the university presidents, who failed to acknowledge that advocating for the genocide of Jews violated their institutions' codes of conduct.

By providing a dedicated email address, the Committee aims to streamline the reporting process and enhance its ability to review and address credible cases of antisemitism. Chairwoman Foxx believes that this resource will be instrumental in conducting a thorough investigation and holding accountable those institutions that have failed to protect their students and faculty.

The Committee's decision to open a formal investigation into the learning environments at Harvard, UPenn, MIT, and other institutions was announced on December 7, 2023. This investigation seeks to shed light on the prevalence of antisemitism on college campuses and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address this issue.

The newly established email address serves as a platform for individuals to voice their concerns and share their experiences with antisemitism. It represents a significant step towards bringing about real accountability and fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for all members of the college community.

Chairwoman Foxx's initiative has been met with support and appreciation from those who have been affected by antisemitism on campus. As one concerned community member stated, "Having a centralized reporting system is crucial in addressing antisemitism effectively. It allows us to bring attention to these incidents and ensure that they are not brushed aside or ignored."

With the creation of this Committee-run email, Chairwoman Foxx and the Education and the Workforce Committee are taking a proactive approach in combating antisemitism and working towards a future where all college campuses are free from hate and discrimination.
