Foundation for the Restoration of America named by Awake Americans as a top three charity in 2024

The Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) has been selected as one of the top three charities for 2024 by Awake Americans. Each year, Awake Americans identifies three leading charities that embody the tenets of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness from the Declaration of Independence. For its 2024 philanthropy campaign, it chose FFROA's Constitutional Study and Scholarship program to represent the pursuit of happiness.

"The Foundation is honored to have been chosen as a 2024 Awake Americans charity," said Christine Altenberger, FFROA's Executive Director, in a press release announcing the selection. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are among the ideals students learn about in our Constitutional Study Scholarship Program," Altenberger continued. She added that this support would help more young Americans appreciate their nation and thrive through ongoing educational opportunities.

According to Awake Americans' website, FFROA was chosen as one of its top three charities for 2024 because its scholarship program "supports the pursuit by young Americans to get a dynamic education" regardless of whether that education takes place at a private college, public institution or trade school. Awake Americans commended the free program for assisting "students who are pursuing happiness in an education path of their choosing."

As per an article on FFROA's website, it awarded $100,000 in scholarships for the 2023 school year and plans to award $100,000 or more to eligible students for the 2024 school year. To be considered for selection, applicants must complete FFROA's Constitutional Study Program. Applicants can still apply up until the December 31st deadline to be considered for scholarships this year.

FFROA's Constitutional Study Program is free to participate in. Upon completion of certain courses, students can apply for a scholarship of up to $10,000. Students who complete the "Introduction to Constitution" and "Constitution 101" courses are eligible to apply for a $2,000 scholarship. Additionally, the Foundation states that $5,000 and $10,000 scholarships will also be awarded to selected applicants who also complete one additional course from a list that includes: The U.S. Supreme Court, The Federalist Papers, The Presidency and the Constitution, Congress: How it Worked and Why It Doesn’t, among others. These courses are provided through Hillsdale College, according to FFROA's website.

In a press release from FFROA, it was revealed that they will be joined by America First Legal and The Southside Lifehouse as the 2024 Awake Americans charities. Awake Americans members allocate part of their membership fee to one or more of these groups.
