The United States has reaffirmed its commitment to support Ukraine amidst the ongoing Russian invasion, as stated by Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a social media post. The Secretary disclosed that he had held a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Blinken shared details of the meeting via his social media account, "@JakeSullivan46 and I had a productive meeting today with President @ZelenskyyUa at @wef. We discussed battlefield updates, recent reform efforts, and the U.S.’ enduring support for Ukraine as it continues its fight for freedom against Russia’s war of aggression."

A news release from the Department of State (DOS) confirmed that the leaders discussed America's unwavering support for Ukraine, including an assessment of the resilience demonstrated by the Ukrainian military and forces.

Blinken expressed his determination to maintain this support, saying "We’re determined to sustain our support for, and we’re working very closely with Congress in order to do that. I know our European colleagues are doing the same thing. And it’s our determination that, even as you succeed militarily against this Russian onslaught, that you also build a Ukraine for the future, one that can stand strongly on its own two feet militarily, economically, democratically. And you have in the United States a strong partner in helping to achieve that."

President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the bipartisan support Ukraine has received from the U.S., which has been instrumental in thwarting further Russian advancement into his country. He said "We count on our partnership, your leading role in this. And thanks for (inaudible) attacks by missiles and drones. It’s really great that we have air defense, that we have defense deterrence from the United States and from other – our European friends. It really helps people to survive in this bloody aggression from Russia. So, thank you so much that you are on our side."

National Security Advisor Sullivan also commented on the situation, expressing determination and commitment to Ukraine's cause. He said "We have a lot of work to do together, and we are determined – working with you, with our allies, with your friends – to make sure that Russia fails and Ukraine prevails. And we look forward to the meeting today to talk through more of the specifics for how we achieve that."
