Dr. Phil: 'Cartels are charging people $50,000 to be smuggled into the USA'

Dr. Phil McGraw, widely recognized as Dr. Phil, has stated that Mexican drug cartels are smuggling migrants into the United States by "charging people $50,000." This assertion was made in an April 17 post on X.

"Cartels are charging people $50,000 to be smuggled into the USA," said Dr. Phil Primetime, Dr. Phil Primetime, according to X.

In a video interview with Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, posted on X, Judd revealed that multiple cartels operate in different regions of the U.S. southern border. He pointed out that cartels such as the Gulf Cartel and Sinaloa Cartel have distinct "business models." According to Judd, the Sinaloa Cartel primarily operates in Arizona and California and has evolved into "transnational criminal organizations," smuggling "clientele" from all over the globe.

Judd further explained in his interview with Dr. Phil posted on X that the Sinaloa Cartel is chiefly responsible for fentanyl distribution and smuggling. He also noted that there are "hundreds of Chinese nationals coming in" every month. In fact, 30,000 Chinese nationals entered the U.S. via the southern border in just the first eleven months of 2023. Judd added, "The cartels are able to advertise their services, based on our policies here." Once these migrants reach U.S., they enter into a state of "indentured servitude" to repay the cartels for their journey.
