Arlington, Va. (April 30, 2024) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) today released its priorities for the fiscal year 2025 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies appropriations bill, which authorizes funding for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Vice President of Civil Aviation, Di Reimold, emphasized the industry's commitment to innovation, stating, “Our industry is constantly on the cutting edge of technology. We develop, create, and deliver safe and reliable aviation. From advanced air mobility and next-generation air travel to space systems that will push us into a new era of space flight, the aerospace and defense industry will propel the United States into the future.”

Reimold further highlighted the importance of investing in the FAA for the advancement of safety and efficiency, noting, “AIA and our members have continually advocated for robust investments in the FAA to develop the proper policy framework and build the workforce that will continually enhance safety and efficiency and unleash innovative technologies to ensure U.S. leadership in this critical industry remains unchallenged.”

In a letter to Senate and House Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee leadership, AIA expressed gratitude to key lawmakers for their support, stating, “We thank Chairman Schatz, Chairman Womack, Ranking Member Hyde-Smith, and Ranking Member Quigley for their steadfast support of our industry as they develop this year’s bill.”
