WASHINGTON, May 1, 2024 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) made significant announcements today regarding key staff appointments and promotions within the organization.
Jeremy Adamson has been promoted to the position of Chief of Staff for Research, Education, and Economics. Adamson, a native of Merrillville, Indiana, and a graduate of Purdue University, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served in various positions related to trade, foreign agricultural affairs, and international climate efforts.
Deidre Deculus Robert has been appointed as the Director of State Operations for Rural Development. With a background in law and a career focused on supporting rural communities, Deculus Robert's experience as the State Director of Rural Development in Louisiana will be valuable in her new role at the USDA.
Ellis Collier has been promoted to Senior Policy Advisor for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Collier's previous experience in legislative advisory roles and his educational background in agriculture make him well-suited for this position, where he will be responsible for providing policy support in areas related to natural resources conservation.
Malikha Daniels has been named the Senior Policy Advisor for the Foreign Agricultural Service. With a Master of Public Policy from the American University School of Public Affairs and a background in biological sciences and Spanish, Daniels brings a diverse skill set to her new role, where she will focus on issues related to biotechnology, agricultural research, and foreign agricultural affairs.
