WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has raised concerns about the Biden Administration's alleged attempts to manipulate the election process in favor of the Democratic Party. The Project recently obtained records revealing a concerning level of coordination between the White House and left-wing groups to boost left-wing voter registration.
According to a memo released by the Oversight Project, documents obtained through a FOIA request indicated that the Department of Justice engaged with left-wing organizations in discussions related to voter registration efforts. Mike Howell, executive director of the Oversight Project, expressed apprehension over these findings, stating, "One of the biggest dangers to free and fair elections is the Biden Administration's weaponization of every single federal agency to work with far-left groups for the biggest get-out-the-vote operation in human history."
The memo highlighted that the groups involved in these discussions were predominantly affiliated with the Democratic Party, raising concerns about partisanship in the election process. Howell emphasized, "Our findings prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this whole effort was implemented in a radically partisan manner."
The Oversight Project has vowed to continue its investigation into potential threats to the election system and has sent FOIA requests to various agencies to uncover the extent of federal resources being used to influence elections. Howell concluded by urging the public to remain vigilant and emphasized the Project's commitment to transparency amidst what they perceive as insufficient congressional oversight regarding the executive order in question.
