On May 25, 2024, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken issued a press statement extending congratulations to the people of Jordan on the occasion of their National Day. This year marks the 78th anniversary of Jordan's independence and the 25th anniversary of King Abdullah’s accession to the throne.
Blinken emphasized the enduring strategic partnership between the United States and Jordan, now in its 75th year. He highlighted that this relationship is based on a shared commitment to promoting regional peace, security, and stability.
