The Department of Defense has expressed confidence in the current U.S. force posture and operations in the Indo-Pacific region, emphasizing cooperation with allies and partners to maintain peace, stability, and national security.

"We have closely monitored joint military drills by the People's Liberation Army in the Taiwan Strait and around Taiwan," stated DoD Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder. "We have communicated our concerns both publicly and directly."

The United States continues to uphold its longstanding one China policy, which is guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, the Three Joint Communiqués, and the Six Assurances.
