AI tools are being introduced to assist businesses on WhatsApp in better serving their customers. These tools are designed to respond to frequently asked questions, helping customers find answers more efficiently. Additionally, AI integration will aid businesses in creating ads on Facebook and Instagram, reminding customers of items left in their carts or offering discounts on pending purchases.
Meta Verified is also being rolled out on the WhatsApp Business app in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. A Meta Verified badge indicates that a business has registered its information with Meta. Businesses using this feature receive enhanced account support, including impersonation protection, and can use WhatsApp across multiple devices for their employees. This badge will be visible on the business’s WhatsApp Channel and custom WhatsApp page.
A new calling feature is being tested to allow users to call larger businesses directly through WhatsApp with one tap. This feature aims to facilitate live conversations for complex requests such as travel arrangements or opening new bank accounts. The feature is currently in testing but will be expanded to more businesses in the coming months.
