The Chief of Staff of the Army has announced several new officer assignments. Brig. Gen. Stephanie R. Ahern will transition from her role as Director, Concepts, Futures and Concepts Center, U.S. Army Futures Command in Adelphi, Maryland, to Director, Strategy, Plans and Policy at the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 in Washington, D.C.
Brig. Gen. Frederick L. Crist is moving from his position as Commanding General of the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command with the Eighth Army in the Republic of Korea to Deputy Director, C-4 for Combined Forces Command; Director of Logistics, U-4 for United Nations Command; and Director, J-4 for U.S. Forces Korea.
Brig. Gen. Kirk E. Gibbs will leave his post as Commanding General of the Pacific Ocean Division at Fort Shafter in Hawaii to become Deputy Commanding General for Military and International Operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C.
Brig. Gen. William C. Hannan Jr., currently serving as Commanding General of the Transatlantic Division at Winchester, Virginia, will take over as Commanding General of the Northwestern Division in Portland, Oregon.
Brig. Gen. Martine S. Kidd will move from her roles as Deputy Director C-4 for Combined Forces Command; Director of Logistics U-4 for United Nations Command; and Director J-4 for U.S. Forces Korea to become Director for Logistics, Engineering and Security Cooperation J-4 at U.S Indo-Pacific Command in Camp H.M Smith, Hawaii.
Brigadier Generals Patrick A Teague and Geoffrey R Van Epps have also received new assignments: Teague will shift from Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché at the U.S Defense Attaché Office-Beijing to a similar role in India; Van Epps moves from being Commanding General at Northwestern Division to Deputy Commanding General III Corps at Fort Cavazos Texas.
