Spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell congratulated Prime Minister Modi and the NDA government on their victory in national elections. He also commended the people of India for participating in what he described as "the largest democratic elections in history."
The discussions included ways to enhance regional and multilateral coordination across the Indo-Pacific region, particularly through the Quad partnership. Both Deputy Secretary Campbell and Foreign Secretary Kwatra expressed their intention to continue cooperation to ensure a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
