NPS seeks public comment on historic places nominations before March deadline

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The National Park Service has announced a solicitation for electronic comments on the significance of properties nominated before February 10, 2024, for listing or related actions in the National Register of Historic Places. Comments should be submitted electronically by March 8, 2024.

Comments are encouraged to be sent to National_Register_Submissions@nps.gov with the subject line “Public Comment on .” For those without email access, comments can be mailed to the National Register of Historic Places, National Park Service, 1849 C Street NW, MS 7228, Washington, DC 20240.

The properties listed in this notice are being considered for listing or related actions in the National Register of Historic Places. Nominations were received by the National Park Service before February 10, 2024. Comments are being accepted concerning the significance of these nominated properties under the National Register criteria for evaluation.

It is important to note that any personal identifying information included in comments may be made publicly available at any time. While requests can be made to withhold such information from public review, there is no guarantee that it will be possible.

Nominations submitted by State or Tribal Historic Preservation Officers include:

California:

- Los Angeles County: John F. and Julia Brossart House; Luther and Adah Blair House; Los Feliz Boulevard Courtyard Apartments Historic District; Winona Boulevard Mid-Century Modern Historic District; Mariposa Street Bridge.

- Marin County: The Last Resort Historic District.

- Riverside County: Bel Vista House.

- Sacramento County: Sacramento Shops Historic District.

- San Diego County: Talmadge Park Estates Historic District.

Colorado:

- Delta County: Delta Municipal Light & Power Plant.

Pennsylvania:

A request for removal has been made for several resources in Louisiana and Maine including Dry Creek High School Building (Beauregard Parish), Antoine House (Caddo Parish), Land's End Plantation (De Soto Parish), Williams House (De Soto Parish), Baskin High School Building (Franklin Parish), Kenner High School (Jefferson Parish), Fontenette-Bienvenu House (St. Martin Parish), Green Shutters (Tangipahoa Parish), Gilead Railroad Station (Androscoggin).

Additional documentation has been received for La Luz Pottery Factory in Otero County, New Mexico.
