Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Haitian Prime Minister Garry Conille and Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy today in Washington, DC.
According to Spokesperson Matthew Miller, the discussions centered on the crisis in Haiti and the recent arrival of the United Nations-authorized Multinational Security Support mission. Secretary Blinken reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to the mission and the Haitian people.
The parties emphasized not only improved security but also good governance, including facilitating free and fair elections, promoting inclusive growth, and providing humanitarian assistance.
