Six U.S. Senators, led by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), joined Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning to open the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow today. The event emphasized the significance of the U.S. aerospace and defense industry in maintaining American competitiveness and national security.
“American innovation is front and center here at the Farnborough International Airshow,” Fanning stated. “Our strong relationship with Congress and our other government partners underpins not just our presence here in London, but everything we do: advancing deterrence and international stability, propelling American leadership in aerospace technology and safety, and creating an environment that allows us to conduct business globally and domestically. The Aerospace Industries Association is honored to join the Senate delegation to spotlight the collective achievements of American ingenuity on the world stage.”
The Senate Congressional Delegation (CODEL) included Sen. Shaheen; Sen. Moran; Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.), Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), and Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.).
