Meta AI is expanding its reach, now available in 22 countries, including the recent additions of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. Users can interact with Meta AI across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook in new languages: French, German, Hindi (including Romanized Script), Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Meta AI offers tools to assist users with tasks ranging from how-to guides to providing creative inspiration. According to the company’s statement: “This is just the start — we’re listening to your feedback, updating Meta AI every two weeks to enhance your experience.”
A new feature called "Imagine me" allows users in the US to create personalized images based on prompts such as "Imagine me surfing" or "Imagine me on a beach vacation." This feature uses a state-of-the-art personalization model. Users can share these images within their social circles for added engagement.
In addition to creating images from prompts, Meta AI introduces creative editing capabilities where users can add or remove objects from an image by simply typing commands. For example: “Change the cat to a corgi.” An upcoming "Edit with AI" button will further refine this functionality.
Starting this week in English-speaking regions on Facebook platforms (feed stories comments messages), users can create images directly using Meta AI. This feature will expand to more locations and languages soon.
Meta's most advanced open-source model Llama 405B is integrated into Meta AI on WhatsApp and meta.ai for complex questions related to math and coding. The improved reasoning capabilities enable step-by-step explanations for math problems and support for coding tasks including debugging and optimization.
Users can combine Meta AI’s coding expertise with image generation features for game development or other creative projects.
Additionally available on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses next month in experimental mode on Meta Quest in the US and Canada will be replacing current Voice Commands with hands-free control options powered by Meta AI. This includes real-time information retrieval like weather updates or local recommendations.
