Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh today in Washington, D.C. According to Spokesperson Matthew Miller, Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Battsetseg discussed concrete steps to advance U.S.-Mongolia ties and further strengthen the Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership.
The discussions included the launch of the U.S.-Mongolia Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue, which emphasized the deepening strategic cooperation between the two nations. Key areas of focus were economic growth and energy, democracy and human rights, and educational and cultural exchanges.
