Netflix has announced a fourth season of "Alpha Males," created by Alberto and Laura Caballero and produced by Contubernio Films.
The series, which launched on Netflix in 2022, quickly became one of the most popular comedies of the year. With production of Season 3 recently completed, Netflix has greenlighted Season 4. "We are thrilled to keep on working with Netflix; creative freedom is the highest but so is responsibility as you know your work will be seen worldwide. We feel proud and satisfied about Spanish comedy traveling," says Alberto Caballero. Laura Caballero adds, "I feel very curious to see how the life of our Alpha Males will be in other countries. Working with Netflix is feeling absolute creative freedom, admiration, and support; it is getting up to work with an unusual peace."
"Alpha Males" tells the story of four friends experiencing midlife crises in their 40s and their efforts to adapt to a new era of masculinity, deconstructing themselves (or trying to) in the process. Netflix has confirmed that the series will have adaptations in various European markets such as France, Italy, The Netherlands, and Germany. Diego Ávalos, VP of content for Spain, Portugal, and Nordics at Netflix said: "Alpha Males is the true reflection of how good stories emerge; the first two seasons reached our global Top 10 during three weeks. I’m proud to see this comedy created by the Caballero brothers will be adapted in several countries, showcasing the wonderful talent we have in Spain."
