Ahead of the second anniversary of the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act enactment, global tech trade association ITI released a new memo that recaps year two of the law’s implementation and outlines actions U.S. policymakers should prioritize to continue investment in U.S. domestic semiconductor leadership and enhance U.S. competitiveness.

ITI’s new analysis includes calls to action for the U.S. Congress and the White House to advance semiconductor technologies manufacturing, bolster research and development, fund workforce initiatives, and maintain continued collaboration with industry.

“For two years, the CHIPS and Science Act has exemplified the power of bipartisan collaboration and bold U.S. leadership,” said ITI President and CEO Jason Oxman. “For the law to continue to strengthen the U.S. innovation economy, safeguard U.S. national security, and foster global cooperation, more work must be done. ITI encourages U.S. policymakers to heed our recommendations and ensure the CHIPS momentum and progress endures for many years to come.”
