The United States and Peru have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance cooperation on critical minerals. The agreement was formalized by U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez and Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Javier González-Olaechea in Lima, Peru.
The MOU aims to strengthen collaboration between the two nations in the critical mineral supply chains sector. It outlines plans for further cooperation in governance, investment, and global supply chain security related to critical mineral resources. This initiative seeks to diversify and secure global supply chains for these essential materials.
