The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) has announced Dr. Diba Hadi as the new Principal Director for the Cyber Academic Engagement Office (CAEO).
Dr. Hadi brings over 30 years of experience in higher education and program development. In her previous role as the Senior Academic and Project Management Advisor at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Dr. Hadi provided strategic academic guidance, led professional development initiatives, and managed accreditation standards.
As the Principal Director, Dr. Hadi will be responsible for academic outreach efforts and overseeing programs under the CAEO, including:
- Department of Defense Cyber Service Academy
- National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity
- National Defense University, College for Information and Cyberspace
- University Consortium for Cybersecurity
- Senior Military Colleges
- Virtual Institutes for Cyber and Electromagnetic Spectrum Research and Employ
On June 12, 2024, the OCIO announced the establishment of the CAEO to serve as a consolidated focal point for cyber-related activities carried out between the Department and academia stakeholders.
