U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko on August 30, 2024. During the meeting, Secretary Raimondo reaffirmed the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and the Department of Commerce’s support for Ukraine in its response to Russia’s continued aggression.

The discussions included Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago’s recent visit to Kyiv and the Department of Commerce’s engagements with the U.S. private sector regarding Ukraine's defense, reconstruction, and recovery objectives.
