The Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations announced several flag officer assignments today.
Rear Adm. Nicholas M. Homan, currently serving as commander of Fleet Information Warfare Command Pacific/Information Warfare Task Force (TF-501) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, will continue his service. Homan recently served as director, J-2, U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
Rear Adm. Thomas S. Wall will be assigned as deputy/reserve deputy commander of Submarine Force Atlantic in Norfolk, Virginia. Wall is presently deputy chief of staff for Submarines at Maritime Command Headquarters in Northwood, United Kingdom; and commander of Submarines NATO in Northwood, United Kingdom.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Dennis E. Collins, selected for promotion to rear admiral, will become reserve deputy for Fleet Readiness and Logistics (N4R) at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, D.C. Collins is currently commander of Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Michael L. Baker continues his role as national geospatial director of operations and military deputy at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Springfield, Virginia. Baker previously served as senior defense official/defense attaché – India in New Delhi.
Rear Adm. (lower half) David M. Buzzetti remains deputy Joint Staff surgeon and director of Reserve Medical Readiness Operations and Affairs at Joint Staff in Washington, D.C., having recently been deputy chief of staff for Reserve Component (N093) at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Falls Church, Virginia.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Stephen D. Donald will serve as mobilization assistant to the commander at Cyber National Mission Force within U.S. Cyber Command at Fort Meade, Maryland. Donald is currently reserve deputy commander for Tenth Fleet at Fort Meade.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Calvin M. Foster will take on duties as deputy commander for Naval Surface Forces Atlantic in Norfolk, Virginia while continuing his current roles with Sixth Fleet's Maritime Partnership Program and vice commandership in Naples, Italy.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Mark F. Haigis is set to become deputy commander for Military Sealift Command in Norfolk after serving as deputy commander for Navy Expeditionary Combat Command in Virginia Beach.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Charles Kirol will command Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group based out of Williamsburg after serving as deputy director for Logistics within U.S Pacific Fleet’s N4 department located in Pearl Harbor.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Joaquin Martinez de Pinillos will assume responsibilities as reserve director for Maritime Operations under U.S Pacific Fleet headquartered at Pearl Harbor from his previous position as vice commander with Seventh Fleet stationed in Yokosuka.
Rear Adm.(lower half) Tuan Nguyen maintains his post as senior defense official/defense attaché-China stationed out of Beijing following a recent tenure overseeing Maritime Cooperation and Competition within U.S Seventh Fleet based out from Yokosuka too
