Netflix has announced three new projects set to launch globally in 2025, continuing its investment in Nordic storytelling. The announcement was made during a press lunch at Netflix’s new Nordic office in Stockholm.

The first project is the Swedish crime series "Synden," written and directed by Peter Grönlund. The series follows investigator Dani, played by Krista Kosonen, and her colleague Malik, portrayed by Mohammed Nour Oklah, as they investigate the death of a teenager on the Bjäre peninsula. The investigation uncovers a dark family feud and patriarchal conflicts.

The second project is the Danish feature film "SULT," written and directed by Ditte Hansen and Louise Mieritz. The film tells the story of Mia, a successful writer who faces challenges in conceiving naturally with her partner Emil. Their relationship is tested as they undergo fertility treatment. The cast includes Rosalinde Mynster, Joachim Fjelstrup, Mille Lehfeldt, Sara Fanta Traore, Magnus Haugaard, Magnus Millang, and Sargun Oshana.

Finally, Netflix will bring back the Norwegian hit series "Home for Christmas" with new episodes. Johanne, played by Ida Elise Broch, navigates life after her breakup with Jonas while taking on new responsibilities at work and helping her family. Writers for this series include Siri Seljeseth, Amy Deasismont, Vera Herngren, Mari Ørstavik, and Per-Olav Sørensen.

All three projects highlight Netflix's commitment to delivering diverse stories from the Nordic region across various genres.
