This past weekend saw a new romantic comedy, "Nobody Wants This," debut at number two on the English TV List with 10.3 million views. The film stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, marking Brody's return to the rom-com genre. Erin Foster directed the movie.
Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime drama "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story" maintained its position at number one on the English TV List with 19.5 million views. It ranked in the Top 10 in 89 countries and was the most-watched title of the week. The series features Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Cooper Koch, Javier Bardem, Chloë Sevigny, Nathan Lane, and Ari Graynor.
The English TV List also saw other notable entries. Susanne Bier’s limited series "The Perfect Couple," starring Nicole Kidman, Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, and Dakota Fanning, secured third place with 6 million views. Season four of "Emily in Paris," featuring Lily Collins and Ashley Park, placed fifth with 4.2 million views. Ellen DeGeneres' final comedy special "For Your Approval" debuted at ninth place with 2.4 million views.
On the Non-English TV List, "Culinary Class Wars" from Korea held onto first place for a second consecutive week with 4.9 million views. Other Korean series included season two of "Gyeongseong Creature," which entered at number two with 3.1 million views, and the limited series "Love Next Door," which claimed fourth place with 2.7 million views.
New documentaries also made an impact this week across various lists. "Jailbreak: Love on the Run" came in third on the English Films List with 7.6 million views; docuseries "Mr. McMahon" took fourth on the English TV List with 4.9 million views; and "An Invisible Victim: The Eliza Samudio Case" placed fourth on the Non-English Films List with 4.3 million views.
Action titles drew significant viewership as well this week. Jeremy Saulnier’s action-thriller "Rebel Ridge," starring Aaron Pierre, reclaimed its top spot on the English Films List with 8.9 million views while “Uglies,” based on a best-selling YA dystopian novel starring Joey King, took second place with 8.7 million views.
On the Non-English Films List, Korean action-comedy “Officer Black Belt” held first place with 5.1 million views while Thai thriller “Bangkok Breaking: Heaven and Hell” entered at second place with 5 million views.
Additionally, seasons one through three of “Prison Break” continued to appear on the English TV List for a third consecutive week.
