Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs John Bass held a meeting with Bahraini Foreign Ministry Under Secretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa in Washington. This meeting took place during the fourth annual U.S.-Bahrain Strategic Dialogue.
The discussion covered various topics, highlighting the progress made in strengthening the U.S.-Bahraini strategic partnership. The focus areas included security, economic innovation and prosperity, culture, education, and people-to-people connections.
The officials also addressed developments in Lebanon, Israel, and Gaza. They emphasized the importance of efforts to restore peace and stability in these regions. "Acting Under Secretary Bass expressed gratitude to Under Secretary Al Khalifa for Bahrain’s leading role working to promote peace across the region, including security in the Red Sea."
Additionally, they exchanged views on global challenges and opportunities. They reviewed progress resulting from the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
