Marta Youth, the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), is set to travel to Geneva. She will lead the United States delegation at the UN Refugee Agency’s (UNHCR) Executive Committee from October 12-16, 2024.

During her time at the UNHCR’s Executive Committee, Youth will participate in a high-level session on statelessness and engage with international partners. Her focus will be on emphasizing U.S. involvement in global humanitarian issues and reaffirming the nation's dedication to protecting vulnerable populations.
