Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Stanley Brown is set to visit Finland and Switzerland from October 14-18, 2024. During his trip, he will engage with senior civilian and military officials to address bilateral security cooperation and regional security matters.
In Helsinki, Finland, Brown will collaborate with NATO Allies to enhance defense cooperation in tackling shared regional security challenges. In Lausanne, Switzerland, he will participate in the Ukraine Mine Action Conference. There, he will work alongside Ukrainian government officials, donor countries, and partners on strategies to safely remove unexploded munitions from Russia's ongoing invasion. This initiative aims at future post-conflict reconstruction and recovery.
