Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in Riyadh to address regional conflicts and efforts toward peace and security. During the meeting, Secretary Blinken stressed the importance of ending the war in Gaza, freeing hostages, and helping the people of Gaza rebuild their lives without Hamas.
The discussions also covered diplomatic resolutions in Lebanon to allow civilians on both sides of the Blue Line to return home. The conversation included establishing lasting regional stability through increased integration among countries in the region.
Additionally, Secretary Blinken and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman addressed the conflict in Sudan, emphasizing civilian protection and advancing a political transition to a civilian government.
